WEEK 10: TIME FLIES..JUST NOT ME

 This is the point in the semester that is stressful yet exciting because I can feel how close summer is yet there are so many assignments in between then and now. I know I will make it so I will not stress it will all be over in due time.. right now I am still focused on collecting data for my project. 

I started to get more organized and decided to make a spreadsheet with all my recordings and it has worked out well so far! I have received the help of Josh who helped me change the setup of how I collect my data since at first I was just getting too much data that had no relation to each other and it made no sense. However, now I am on the right track I am looking forward to seeing what relationships show up from the data from both the aloe vera and lantana plants.

WEEK 14: JUST IN TIME THE NICK OF TIME

Warm greetings everyone! I am pumped for the end of the semester yet it feels so far away with this looming organic chemistry final ahead I am less thrilled for. Although I have gained confidence thru tutoring and my teacher going over every question on the final I am still mad nervous. I might be adding too much thought into this and just not enough peace because I know I am so close to the finish line of my undergraduate degree that I do not want to risk any hiccups that can delay it. I will be more than ecstatic to close the history book on chemistry courses in my academic career after I pass this exam that is a GUARANTEE and the only thing keeping me going at this point. Wishing everyone happy finals week and have an amazing memory packed summer! xoxo

WEEK #2: Getting Back In The Saddle

Being back in the swing of long hectic school days is back in full force. I am slowly starting to form a schedule that works for me and it will be interesting to see how this turns out..stay tuned! I have started to develop an idea of what I want to research this semester for my project, I am more excited than I discovered when it came down to doing my research into topics at first. I know I must give up my need for perfection during this whole experience with my research project since it is my first time doing a research project with such creative freedom. I do look forward to seeing what the next few weeks have in store for me, good wishes and positive thinking will always get me through!

WEEK 2: Shake It Up

  Good day, my fellow humans. The first week is long over and I can say I already can tell this semester is going to fly right by me. I am pleased with most of all my classes however my art class just might be the death of me. On a positive note, I have a strong idea of what I want to do for my project however I am still researching exactly what I am going to focus on. I came to the conclusion that cloning bacteria or GMOs is a glow-in-the-dark version. I have not exactly figured out if that is the angle I want to commit to so I am still in the thinking process but I have a start. However, I know exactly what I am not doing: working with plants of any kind. I just feel like I need some excitement in my life and plants do not do that for me but I still love them as decorations around the home.  Here is a photo of the Venus Fly Trap babies Josh and I tried to grow last semester but ended in sadness because it takes months for this plant to grow.
